How to send 200+ CUSTOM Christmas cards in less than 20 minutes

Yes, you absolutely can send out custom Christmas cards (like the ones above) in less than 20 minutes. And for less than $1 each. Personalized with your own handwriting and your own signature.

I am talking about REAL printed cards sent via snail mail, NOT e-cards.

Want to know how?
First, go HERE and click on the big red button that says: Click here to send a free card!

Then fill in your info and you will have a free trial account set up for you. You can listen to the audio to learn how to send a card. Your account will be good for 2 weeks and will allow you to send 2-3 cards.

Then, attend a free webinar (online seminar) to learn how to create some really cute Christmas cards and send them all out in less than 20 minutes. Here are the webinar details:

Date: Saturday, November 8 at 10 AM Pacific / 11 AM Mountain / Noon Central / 1 PM Eastern

Go to this link to attend the webinar:https://www1.gotomeeting.com/join/771236207
Then call in to this number, so you can ask questions: Conference Call: 419-400-0203

Do you like to receive Christmas or Holiday cards?

It's November and it's officially time to start thinking about Christmas. (Only 52 shopping days left.)

I'd like to know your opinion. Do you like to receive Christmas or Holiday cards? Or do you think it is a waste of time, effort and paper?

Had you rather receive a printed card in your mailbox or an e-card in your inbox?

Do you like cards with pictures or without?

I'm taking a survey and would really appreciate your participation. It is very short---only 7 questions.

Subscribe to my blog so you will be sure to see the results when I post them.

Thank you!

Recycle Your Wedding Invitations

So, you took my advice and ordered more wedding invitations than you needed because you know that there are always those add-ons to your list---people that you just forgot about, folks that you didn't forget about, just didn't want to invite, but felt guilty when you saw them at a party and everyone else is asking you about your wedding, and of course, those long lost relatives that your future mother-in-law insists must get an invitation. And you were glad you did because you wound up using more than you planned to. However, you still have just a few invitations left, even after you've saved a couple for your scrapbook, and for your future children's scrapbooks.

>>>What do you do with the rest? Well, here's a great idea to get more use out of your leftover wedding invitations or wedding invitations that you receive in the mail...

Cut them up (or have a friend do it for you, if you can't muster up the courage) and use the pieces containing the beautiful designs to decorate some handmade greeting cards. Or...

Give them to a school or daycare for the kids to use to make their own cards or to use in other art projects.

Or give them to a friend who is into scrapbooking. Be sure to promise that you don't mind if she cuts them up.

You'll feel better because your leftover wedding invitations didn't go to waste after all, and because someone's life was touched by receiving a beautiful handmade card.

Share the joy!

More Winter Wedding Ideas

For something a little different, for your winter wedding, why not do a snowflake theme, but choose a color combo of purple, amethyst and lavender, instead of light blue or navy blue?

The invitations below are created using my "Chic Doilies" design, but they could pass as snowflakes. Or you could use my "Sassy Snowflakes" design (see previous post), but change the colors to amethyst, dark purple and lavender.

I am a Brides Against Breast Cancer supporter

I do not know anyone, myself included who has not been affected by breast cancer in some form or fashion. Since October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I always donate 10% of my October sales of pink items to help with this cause.

I recently discovered a great organization called, BRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER that holds Wedding Gown Sales to benefit the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation. The Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundations mission is:

“To provide an opportunity for metastatic breast cancer patients’ dream or wish to be fulfilled by providing a special time of 'Making Memories' together with their families, a chance that might not have become a reality without the assistance of the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation."

And also: "To advance the awareness of breast cancer and to educate the public about the vast resources and support available to breast cancer patients and their families."

So, this month, I will donate 10% of sales of all items from my website (including custom orders) that contain the color pink anywhere on them to the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation.

If you would like to donate your wedding dress to be sold to help grant wishes for metastatic breast cancer patients, you can find out more info at: http://bridesagainstbreastcancer.org/

Here are some pink items from my website at www.JoyfulHeartdesign.com:

I've Been Bitten by the Twitter Bug... er, Bird

A couple of months ago if you were to ask me, "Do you Twitter?", I would have had no idea what you were talking about. But lately I've been hearing about how much fun it is to twitter. So, a couple of weeks ago, I signed up for an account on www.Twitter.com. It was so simple and easy to sign up. I immediately began twittering or tweeting or whatever you call it. I have already "met" some fabulous people. It is so interesting to see who is following who, and who is following them that you might want to connect with. I must say, I am hooked. I can now see why people claim that Twitter is a great way to network and connect with people.

If you would like to learn more about how and why to twitter, visit www. twitter.com/help.

If you'd like to follow me on Twitter, you can find me at www.Twitter.com/Joyful_Heart. Tell me you learned about my Twitter page from my blog. I'd like to follow you, too.

Tweet, tweet!

Bold, Beautiful, Yet Modest Weddings

Just because you want to use a bold color in your wedding (like bright orange, hot pink or lime green) doesn't mean the styles of your wedding gown and bride's maid's dresses have to be bold. Many brides today are opting for more modest gowns---ones that don't expose too much back, shoulder or cleavage. Choosing to wear a more modest style does not mean your wedding has to be dull, however. Don't be afraid to use lots of color in your dresses, flowers and decorations. How about hot pink dresses with modest cap sleeves and bright orange sashes. Or rich turquoise blue tablecloths with bright yellow and green centerpieces (try placing lemons and limes in clear glass bowls, like photo above from theknot.com, or cut them in half and use them as place card holders.)

Your wedding invitations, stationery and other accessories should reflect the same style as the overall style of your wedding, be it bold and colorful, elegant or soft and sweet. Can't find an invitation that is available in your colors that matches your style or theme? I've heard the same complaint from many brides. That's why I offer contemporary wedding invitations that are FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE. Any of my designs can be created in any color combination you can think up, with as much text as will fit on the page, in any font you like. To see how we personalize and customize your wedding invitation to fit your style, visit: www.OohandAahWeddingInvites.com.

Hot Wedding Colors for Fall & Autumn Weddings Video - Coming Soon!

I was hoping to announce the debut of my new video on Hot Wedding Colors for Fall & Autumn Weddings today, but it is taking too long to upload. I am in the process of uploading it to youtube.com, but it is taking a long time to upload.

I have been having trouble with my internet going off. Thankfully, it has been on all day today, but I checked the speed and it is very low despite the fact that it is DSL and is supposed to be high-speed internet. I would switch phttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifroviders, but I don't have access to a lot of service in this area.

So, I am just going to go to bed and maybe it will have finished uploading in the morning. :)

In the meantime, you can see samples of some of my Fall & Autumn wedding invitations at my Etsy shop at www.JoyfulHeartDesign.etsy.com.

Dreaming of Cooler Weather

Although we haven't had as many 100+ degree days here in the Lubbock, Texas area, it's still been really hot! I like Summer, but I am looking forward to the slightly cooler days of autumn.

And working on my new Fall wedding invitation designs has really got me dreaming of Autumn and everything that comes with it: cooler weather, back to school, high school football games, and of course, watching the glorious splendor of the leaves changing from their Summer green to warm shades of yellow, orange, red and maroon.

If you are having a Fall Wedding, and want to incorporate the beautiful warm autumn colors in your wedding, but want something different than the traditional fall designs of leaves, pumpkins, corn, etc., then you are the exact personhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif I had in mind when I created the following wedding invitations:

Warm rays of "sunshine" burst forth from the corners of the "Sassy Sunbursts" Pocket Fold Wedding Invitation to give a warm welcome to your family and friends.

The "French Fleurs" Pocket Wedding Invitation features one of the hottest wedding color schemes of the season: Green, Orange and Brown.

Butterflies are normally thought of as a Spring or Summer theme, but soft cream and light peach color scheme of this "Lacy Butterflies" Wedding Invitation makes it suitable for a fall wedding as well.

Informal Wedding Invitation Wording

Found at www.2020site.org ....

When a recent death in the family, or when personal preference results in a so-called "quiet" wedding, when only the immediate family and very close friends are invited, a short note written either by the bride-to-be or her mother, is the only invitation. Following is a note of this kind from the bride-elect to her friend.

Dear Janet:

Two weeks from Monday, on the ninth of September, Mr. Brill and I are to be married. We are asking only a few of our most intimate friends to be present, and would be very glad to have you among them. The ceremony will take place at four o'clock.

With kindest regards, I am
Sincerely yours,
Harriet B. Howe

Website Redesign, E-commerce

I decided it was time for my website to become a fully functional e-commerce site. In the process of making those changes, I went ahead and did a complete redesign as well. My newly redesigned e-commerce website is now live! So go check it out. www.JoyfulHeartDesign.com

I would love to get your opinion on it. Is it easy enough to find a particular type of invitation? Do the photos load too slowly? Is it clear when you first arrive what the purpose of the website is? Is there anything on there that is confusing? I welcome any comments or suggestions.

I've only got a few invitations and announcements listed so far, but am adding more almost daily. So check back often. Please feel free to contact me at info@joyfulheartdesign.com if you are interested in an invitation or announcement that I do not have listed on my website yet.

Also, be sure to accept the special invitation on my website to receive FREE tips and my Members-Only specials!

Colors of the Wind

I live in West Texas and anyone who lives in this area or who has ever visited here knows that the wind blows A LOT! It can get really annoying. But through an assigned art project in my 3-D design class and through conversations with God, I learned to appreciate the wind.

You can view my video about it below.

Also, I made some cards from the project. You can purchase them by visiting my Etsy shop at www.JoyfulHeartDesign.etsy.com

If you are a subscriber to my FREE ezine, watch your email inbox for a subscriber-only special on all of my Scripture cards.

If you are not a subscriber, what are you waiting for? It's FREE! Just fill in the form on the right and you, too, can receive this and other subscriber-only specials.

Choosing that Perfect Color

Ever been confused about how to portray that certain 'look' you want? Picking the right color can make or break your get-together. To choose which color you want, start by thinking of what mood you would like to have. Really formal? Go with black and white. Something a bit more down to Earth? The word earth says it all. Go with browns and greens or other colors found throughout the natural world. Looking at popular magazines can give you insight too. Look at an advertisement and think about if it 'feels' right. If you like the mood, consider using the colors in the ad yourself. These helpful tips can make any event you plan much likelier to achieve the effect you want.

Valentine's Day Poems

So... you've got a sweetheart and you want to tell them how special they are and how much you love them... but you're not very eloquent with words? No problem. Here are a few sites that feature Valentine's Day poetry. Some of the poems are free for you to use either personally or commercially. Some are not. Use the free ones as is, or use any of them as inspiration to write your own poem. Just be sure not to violate copyright laws.

If you still can't find "just the right words", just write something from your heart. That's the most special message of all.

Universal Letter Writing Week

This week, Jan. 8-15 is Universal Letter Writing Week. Who is waiting to hear from you?

You know, email is great, but nothing warms the heart like getting a real card or letter in the mail in the person's own handwriting. Such a nice break from bills and junk mail. So, here are a few tips about writing a letter or a note:

1. Just do it! It doesn't have to be perfect. You don't have to have the prettiest stationery, or even a different colored pen to write with. Just write it. Do it now.

2. Just write it! Don't type it. Write it in your own handwriting. So what if you think your handwriting stinks. The person who receives your letter will love it, misspellings and all. That what makes it personal and that's what touches the heart.

3. Just write it! It doesn't have to be a perfect composed letter. Just write from your heart, whatever comes to mind. Think about what you would say to the person if you were talking to them on the phone.

4. Just send it! It's OK if your paper and envelope don't match. Or if your envelope is just plain. Don't wait till you get your photos developed or uploaded so you can include it in the letter. Just get it in the mail. (You can send the photo later.) It can't touch someone's heart if they never receive it.

As an incentive, I will give two greeting cards of your choice (for you to send next week) to everyone who writes and sends a letter this week and then leaves a comment here before midnight on Tues., Jan. 15.
